Festive is as festive as it can get with our Kitchen Mama 2021 Christmas Can Craft Contest! We all did our best to enjoy the season despite the fact that this was a really tough year!

Kitchen Mama is a lot like Santa Claus. She loves giving out presents, and equally enjoys when people appreciate what she has made. Fittingly so because this year, our 2021 Christmas Can Craft Grand Winner is “String Santa!” Congratulations to our Grand Winner Ryan Chen, the creator of “String Santa.”

 

If you want to recreate this cute and happy Santa Claus, just don’t forget to obtain colored paper, cans, pan, double side tape, scissors, chopsticks, cords (fishing line is even better).

Materials: 

☑ two empty cans in different sizes with NO Sharp Edges

☑ colored paper

☑ coloring pen

☑ double-sided tape

☑ scissors

☑ chopsticks

☑ cords (fishing line is even better)

Instruction:

 

Step 1: Cut two squares that are bigger than the cover of the bigger can, draw the face of the bigger can on the paper.

Step 2: Draw the face of the smaller can within one of the circle from Step 1 and cut it off.

Step 3: Stick the paper to the side of the smaller can and put the smaller can to the hole from Step 2.

Step 4: Attach double-sided tape on the squares. Cut strips in accordance with the tangent line of the bigger circle.

Step 5: Stick the smaller can into the bigger can and stick the remained square from Step 1 to the bottom of the bigger can as well.

Step 6: Cut three cords and stick to the back and both side of the bigger can.

Step 7: Cut the paper according to the height of the bigger can and stick to the side of bigger can.

Step 8: Make the nose, beard, hat, arms and legs of Santa

Step 9: Cut two cords and stick to the both arms.

Step 10: Tie the chopsticks into cross shape.

Step 11: Stick all the parts from Step 8 to the Santa.

Step 12: Stick all cords to the chopsticks and DONE!
