FESTIVE CANDY JAR – 21 Votes
The designer of this festive candy jar loves creating easy crafts that even a child can make. In fact, her little boy had fun drawing the little cars on this can craft.
Here’s how to make your very own Candy Jar
Step 1: Gather supplies…
- a can 2. thin cardboard 3. a glue gun 4. paint pens or marker
Step 2: Remove paper from the outside of the can. Be sure to clean the can thoroughly, dry it out, and make sure there’s no residue left behind before you start.
Step 3: Get rid of any rough or sharp edges using hot glue to ensure safety.
Step 4: Wrap the thin cardboard around the can and cut it to the appropriate length.
Step 5: Cut a zigzag pattern along one side at varying heights to represent mountains. Then use hot glue to secure the ends together.
Step 6: Measure another strip of thin cardboard, narrower than the last (approximately 1 inch in height), and cut zigzags along one side. Secure with hot glue over the taller piece of cardboard along the bottom of the can.
Step 7: Use paint pens or markers to decorate the peaks of the mountains with a snowy pattern.
Step 8: Draw some simple vehicles and glue them onto the can as if driving along the lower zigzag cardboard piece
